The seller claims it's a Fast and the Furious extra car. That's probably not going to make the feds turn a blind eye. Oh and it's RWD, so it isn't actually a GT-R. Maybe not even a GT-S.
You can click !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! for the ad. Any thoughts? I'm thinking this is just a guy who imported one of these (rather stupidly), and now is exploiting Paul Walker's passing to sell off a problem. I may be wrong.

Um...I think he added one too many zeros to that price.

The Neo 6 means its a GTS... They used the GTS and GTS-T's in the movies because they're way cheaper to buy (remember they have to buy quite a few of them, some get wrecked in stunts and what not) than an R34 GTR, which command huge money here. And, the GTS-T's are RWD, which helps with drifting, makes the driving look more actiony.
Something like this in Canada wouldn't command close to the asking price, movie car or not. Nice GTS-T's go for about 15 grand.

As much as I love GT-R's, that car is a piece of shit

Fuck it, a potentially legal R34 in the US is NP since we're still 10 years off from getting the ban lifted on it. This would be an awesome candidate for a GT-R conversion, drifting/show car, or LS-swap.
NP if legal to drive on the road.

The seller is honest about what the car actually is though.

State = legal
Federal = illegal

Just like the GT-R, none of this stuff has been through the appropriate federal channels, so it's just as illegal. The feds don't know their RBs from their SRs, and could care less how many wheels get the power; they catch you with it, and they'll crush it just the same.

car is stock and automatic trans with the rb20de neo engine making roughly 150hp and is 2wd (rwd)
Umm...$21k for an autotragic illegal alien with no 4WD and only 150whp? Crack. Mother. Fucking. Pipe. I could almost get a way faster and totally not confiscateable 370z for that. Hell if I can save $21k, I could just keep saving get the legal real-deal R35.

Which I give him credit for... I guess since R34's are much, much, much rarer in the US of A (lololol 25 year import law), they command much higher value regardless of movie credentials or not.

No-no, automatch. It's a movie car. That's good for at least an extra $10k...right? I saw that somewhere in the Kelly Blue Book. I think. Maybe.

That is a true movie car and I'd drive a properly running variant of that. (VW nut)

My thoughts exactly.

Unfortunately, it isn't legal. Not 100%.

What if it's registered as a purpose-built racecar and no longer on the road?

There's a 4 door R34 running around here in L.A. I'm sure it's turbo, as it sounds mean, but I've never heard the BOV. Personally, I'd drop a 2JZ-GTE into it.

Still illegal unless the car is registered as "Show and Display" and cannot go over 2,500 miles.
Please don't consider removing your speedo, people will know.

That particular one survived the raid that confiscated the 'real' ones, so even they recognized it as a shell rather than.. whatever the government considers as deteriorating to the country's moral fiber equal to Cuban cigars.

The same couldn't be said about the Kaizos, though.

Is there really? I've never seen it, I'll have to keep my eye out. How the hell has that not yet been repossessed?

Interesting. I'm not usually in that area, but I may have to drive around a few times just to see this thing. Genuinely intrigued.
